What can I expect during my first appointment?

Your first session will focus on getting to know you and what you would like to work on during therapy. A thorough assessment will be completed to understand your history and concerns. We will end the session by developing treatment goals, which will serve as a guide for our work together.

How long does therapy last?

It depends. Evidence-based therapies tend to be short-term, as they are used to help you get results fast. If you are working on something more complex, therapy can take several months or more.

How do I know if therapy is working?

We will check-in throughout therapy to discuss how things are going. In addition to discussing your progress, certain therapies use assessments to track your progress over time. Ultimately, outcomes are based on what you put into therapy. Growth takes place when are you willing to reflect on yourself and take the skills you are given during sessions out into the world with you. Throughout the process, I will listen, support you, and provide you with the very best recommendations and strategies backed by science, tailored to you and your specific needs.

When can I book an appointment with you?

In order to accommodate various schedules, appointments are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening hours. Evening hours are available to ensure that those who are working during the day can get in an appointment during after-work hours.

Do you take my insurance?

I am an out of network provider. This means that you may have some or all of your session costs covered by your insurance company. After your session, you receive a receipt that you give to your insurance company for reimbursement. Once your deductible has been met, you will be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance company if your plan provides out of network benefits.
